WIWW: What I Wore Wednesday

I know, I know, I'm late, but there is a reason I am posting 1 day late. I will get to the reason later in the post. Here is my outfit for this week's WIWW. I love how springy it is!

top: H&M (got it on sale!) not on the website, but still in the stores.
shoes: Steve Madden from years ago

had to include the photo bombers. They are just too cute!

So onto the reason why I'm posting a day late. When I post my WIWW I link up with Get Your Pretty On and The Pleated Poppy. And I always like to include why I'm feeling "pretty" on this particular Wednesday.

Today was my follow up appointment with my infertility doctor and we have answers! It is an answered prayer for sure! My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for the past year. That whole story can be saved for another blog post, but long story short, we BOTH have infertility problems. REALLY?! BOTH?! Yes. We both do. So I went and met with Dr. Ku from Dallas IVF.  He is an absolute gem! He writes everything down that he says so that I don't forget. Don't you just hate going to the doctor and not remembering a fourth of what they say? Well Dr. Ku completely fixed that.

So today was a follow up from all the tests that were ran last month. Over the past couple of years I have been extremely tired, gaining weight when I worked out and ate right, and pretty much couldn't explain why I was feeling this way and gaining random weight. He diagnosed me with a hypothyroid, which apparently has also been affecting my fertility. Answers! Thank goodness. I'm finally going to get rid of this random weight due to slow metabolism and we are one step closer to having a baby! With alittle help from a thyroid pill and clomid :)

So today I feel pretty because my husband and I are one step closer to having a bundle of joy or joys! :)

WIWW: army green

This has to be one of my favorite outfits! When I went into J.CREW the day I bought it I had so much fun! The sales lady kept bringing back outfit after outfit! I knew I was only going to buy one outfit, but having outfits put together and brought to you was too much fun! She was the one that paired the army green jeans and blue oxford rhinestone shirt. I would have never thought to do it! My favorite part of the blue shirt is the collar. So much fun with a pop of bling! I paired the outfit with my favorite Steve Madden wedges. (similar) They wrap around my ankles. LOVE them!

I think my husband is tired of taking pictures of me. He's going to have to suck it up! I have no one else :)

WIWW

I have to preface this post with a funny story real quick. I sat down last night ready to post my WIWW. Even my husband said "are you about to post your 'what I wear Wednesday?'" He cracks me up that he knows my little blog posts :) Anyways, I drafted up my WIWW and was ready to post, but for the life of me I couldn't find the WIWW link up at The Pleated Poppy. Surely there must be a mistake. Maybe she's sick and didn't post today? Who knows. So I went on ahead and posted my WIWW without the link up.

Then while laying in bed. I figured out why she hadn't posted her WIWW. BECAUSE TODAY IS TUESDAY!! I literally laughed out loud! Let's just put it this way, yesterday was a long day. HA!

So moving onto my post. I am a teacher and this week we have our state testing, STAAR, and we were allowed to wear jeans and a school shirt. No one wants to see that, so I took pictures early on Saturday to show off my finds at the J.CREW factory outlet. Their entire store was 50% off this weekend! I had way too much fun! Even got the hubby some work shirts. God knows he needed them!

On my shopping spree I bought 2 pairs of pants and 2 shirts. Here is the first combination I made with my new clothes.
 jean jacket
I know everyone has a jean jacket, but here is my new all time fav!
It's from, you guessed it, J.CREW.
I haven't bought it yet, but it's on my list!
The one I'm wearing is actually from Target. Can you believe it? I've had it FOREVER!
black top from J.CREW
purple pants from  J.CREW
sandals from DSW

had to show the back of the shirt. It's my favorite part!

Here are the other items I purchased.

FACTORY STRIPE SLEEVELESS POPOVER BLOUSE

FACTORY WINNIE PANT IN STRETCH TWILL (in black)

I wore the navy striped shirt with the purple pants for Easter and it was adorable! Here is a picture of that combo. (plus the hubs!) love of my life :)

Linked up with The Pleated Poppy

I am also linking up with Allison over at "Get Your Pretty On". Her post today brought me to tears because I feel as a woman we all feel this way! That we are not good enough. That we aren't skinny enough or pretty enough. Women!! We must stop this nonsense! I too play this game with my head and we have to stop. I am not stick thin, I have curves. My chest makes most of my shirts make me look bigger than I am, but ya know what? I'm going to own it.

These outfits that I purchased were all sleeveless which is hard for me. I hate my arms! If I could have skinnier arms I would be happy! (probably not because I'd find something else to obsess over). When my husband took the picture of the back of the black shirt and I saw the picture I of course immediately looked at my arms, and ya know what? I was HAPPY with the picture! I have been working out really hard to get in shape and I'm finally seeing definition in my arms! So that is my reason for linking up for "I feel pretty".

What makes you feel pretty? I'd love to hear!
